Welcome on blog about Warhammer gold. Today about medallions and crest system, created by Mythic around month ago. What is all about? Well, basically medallions are the basic currency of the Quartermaster system. The RvR Quartermasters are “Barter” merchants and they trade all kind of special items and equipment in exchange for specific items earned in RvR. This can be useful alternative way of obtaining item sets. Other way is to farm keeps for Keep PQ bags.

Medallions & Crests – RvR Currency

Common Medallions

Common Medallions are the basic barter currency used in the system. These are the medallions that are handed out frequently and in larger quantities for most RvR events. Players will use common medallion types to purchase lower level equipment and disposable items throughout their RvR play experience. In addition common medallions will be required as part of the purchase cost for unique powerful items.

There are 4 types of medallions
Tier 1 RvR Medallion, Recruit’s Medallion – exchange 5 for 1 Scout’s Medallion

Tier 2 RvR medallion, Scout’s Medallion – exchange 5 for 1 Soldier’s Medallion

Tier 3 RvR medallion, Soldier’s Medallion – exchange 5 for 1 Officer’s Medallion

Tier 4 RvR Medallion, Officer’s Medallions – exchanged only for T1, T2, T3 Medallions – so 1 Officer Medallion – 125 Scout’s Medallions – 25 Scout’s Medallions – 5 Soldier’s Medallions

Rare Crests

Rare crests are awarded less frequently and from very specific events like Fortress attack/defense, City PQ or during scenarios (sometimes) and very rare during Open Realm vs. Realm. These Rare medallions are used in combination with common medallions to purchase ultimate endgame items. The types of Rare medallions are below. If you want to take a look on this items, go to Officer or Royal Quartermaster (it’s in Viper’s Pit), these items are very, very powerful!

Conqueror’s Crest- T4 Campaign & Fortress Medallions. 1 Conqueror crest can be exchanged for 5 Officer medallions. You can receive one for each captured zone.

Invader’s Crest – Early City Siege Crests. 1 Invader Crest can be exchanged for 5 Conqueror Crests. Most often you can revive them during City PQ Bags.

Warlord’s Crest - Advanced City Siege Crests. 1 Warlord Crest can be exchanged for 5 Invader Crest.

Sovereign’s Crest – Endgame RvR Medallions. Sovereign medallion can be exchanged for 5 Warlord Medallions.

Well, I’m really disappointed that you can’t exchange Conqueror’s crests for better ones. I hope EA Mythic will change this in the future, because all players are complaining.
